Profile & Biography
Dr. Rachel, B.E (Textile Technology)., M.Tech (Textile Technology)., Ph.D (Textile Technology), joined as Sr. Faculty Grade II in the department of School of Fashion Design on August 21, 2023. She is a textile Graduate completed B.Tech and M.Tech in Textile Technology and Ph.D in Technology. She worked as Merchandiser in an Apparel Export Unit in Tirupur for 2 years and having vast experience in Teaching, served as Assistant Professor for 15 years in a reputed Institute and 2 years in FDDI.
She has presented 8 Research papers in seminars, 5 research papers in International Conference, Published 72 articles in International Journals, 3 articles in National journals, 4 books in National level and 1book in international level. She has served as Chairperson for Internal Complaints Committee, served as Management Coordinator for ISO 9001: 2004 QMS, and organized various seminars and Programs. She also actively participated in Seminars, Conferences, Faculty Development Programme and webinars, trained as Master of Trainers in Rashtriya Karmayogi Large Scale Jan Seva Program.
She is specialized in Basic Textiles, Weaving, Knitting, Textile Testing, Apparel Quality Management, Fashion Apparel Marketing and Merchandising, Fashion Business, Technical Textile, Home Textile, Textile New Product Development, Clothing Care, Retail Merchandising, ERP in Apparel Industry, & Clothing Care.
