Dr. Neeti Kishore is a Sr. Faculty, Head of School, School of Fashion Design at Chennai Campus, bringing 16 years of expertise in academic, research, and teaching. She earned her Ph.D. in Clothing and Textiles from the Sam Higginbottom Institute of Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, where her research work focused on the innovative translation of Indian monumental aesthetics into sarees and dress materials via CAD. A prolific researcher, Dr. Neeti has published numerous papers in prestigious national and international peer-reviewed journals, establishing herself as a scholarly authority in textile evolution and design methodology.
Her core specialization is Design Thinking, with a unique niche in using crochet as an experimental medium. Dr. Neeti is a staunch advocate for slow and sustainable fashion, actively supporting handloom communities and regional artisans through craft-led innovation. Beyond her administrative role, she is deeply committed to student mentorship, focusing on research engagement and well-being-oriented guidance. Her pedagogical approach fosters a new generation of designers who effectively balance cultural heritage with responsible, modern practice.
