Profile & Biography
Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma is the Senior Faculty and HOD at the School of Fashion Design, Noida, with over 27 years of experience spanning industry and academia. His multidisciplinary academic background includes an M.Phil in Fashion, an M.Sc. in Fashion Design, and an Interdisciplinary Program from IIT Roorkee. Having worked as a designer for prominent brands like Duke Fashions and Almotahajiba, he transitioned into academic leadership, where he has been instrumental in establishing design institutes (IIFA, IIFT), developing curricula, and spearheading major UP Government skill development projects.
He holds nine research papers. Mr. Sharma is a highly decorated professional, recently receiving an award for exceptional work at the International Textile Cartography Exhibition (2024) and serving as a Jury Panelist at Jamia Millia Islamia in 2025. He holds prestigious affiliations as an Empanelled Designer with the Ministry of Textiles, a member of the Heritage Crafts Association (UK), and a scientific reviewer for international research platforms, consistently driving innovation in textile and apparel design.
