Profile & Biography
Ms. Avernita Srivastava is a Senior Faculty (Grade II) at the School of Fashion Design, FDDI, where she has been a key member since September 2024. She holds a post-graduate degree in Textiles and Clothing from the University of Delhi. Additionally, she is highly proficient in the study of Fashion Fundamentals, Textile Studies, and the intersection of Art, Culture, and History within the fashion landscape.
With 18 years of extensive academic experience, Ms. Avernita has previously been associated with prestigious institutions including NIFT, AAFT, the University of Delhi, and Apeejay Stya University. Beyond her teaching duties, she has held significant managerial positions and played a vital role in curriculum development by designing syllabi for various design programs. A dedicated researcher, she has authored multiple papers in renowned textile journals and presented at international conferences. She also actively mentors the next generation of designers, having supervised numerous graduate and post-graduate students in their research dissertations and complex design projects.
