Profile & Biography
Ms. Nidhi Singh is a multidisciplinary designer and educator currently serving as Junior Faculty at FDDI Patna, School of Fashion Design. She holds an M.F.D. (Master of Fashion Design), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut & Master's Diploma in Fashion Design, Dream Zone Institute of Fashion, Lucknow.
Ms. Nidhi has over nine years of combined academic and industry experience in fashion design. She has extensive expertise in fashion education, product development, export merchandising, and design management, successfully integrating industry practices into teaching and learning. Her professional journey includes leadership roles in the fashion industry as well as academic positions, enabling her to effectively bridge classroom learning with real-world applications. She has actively participated in prestigious fashion platforms, including Bangalore Fashion Week, Lucknow Fashion Week, and ARCHINGA at IIT Guwahati, where she showcased innovative design concepts. Her research focuses on plant-based leather and sustainable fashion applications, with ongoing doctoral research in sustainable material innovation. She has presented her research at international conferences, mentored SSIP-funded student innovation projects, coordinated the National Handloom Fashion Walk, organized design exhibitions and workshops, and continues to promote sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship, and craft-based design education through industry-oriented learning.
