Ms. Shalu Singh is a Junior Faculty member at the School of Fashion Design, FDDI Patna. She holds a Master's in Fashion Design from Singhania University (2022) and a Bachelor's degree from the School of Fashion Technology (SOFT), Pune. With a robust background that blends five years of industry experience in design and export houses with 3.5 years in academia, she brings practical market insights to both undergraduate and MBA students. Her professional excellence was recently recognized with an "Employee of the Month" award.
Her technical expertise is comprehensive, covering Production Management, Textile Design and Material Development (TDMD), Garment Construction, and the History of Arts. Beyond her academic and administrative leadership, Ms. Singh possesses a unique profile in the fashion world, having secured the 8th position in Miss India 2016 (Maharashtra). This background in modeling provides her with an exceptional reach into the industry, which she leverages to mentor students in design projects, fashion studies, and product knowledge.
