◼️ Professional Profile :
Sweta Kumari is an accomplished Designer and Stylist with over 21 years of distinguished experience in both the fashion industry and academia. She has designed for globally recognized brands including Zara, Mango, Bestsellers, and HI design. A graduate of NIFT Delhi in accessory design, her professional credentials are further enhanced by advanced training in Fashion Styling and Technical Design from FIT New York, along with specializations in Design Thinking and UI/UX.
Transitioning to academia, she has held positions at esteemed institutions such as Kasturba Polytechnic for Women (DSEU/DU), JD Institute of Fashion, Netaji Subhas University of Technology, National Institute of Fashion Technology (Delhi), and the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Her engagement with curriculum development and skill enhancement initiatives reflects her passion for elevating traditional arts and crafts, particularly within the context of sustainability.
In her scholarly pursuits, she has published papers in Scopus-indexed journals as well as in both national and international journals and conferences. , and has contributed numerous insightful articles to Fibre2Fashion, a leading B2B platform in the textile, garment, and fashion industries. Among her collaborative projects is the India‑UK ‘Creative Industries at 75’ initiative with Birmingham City University, UK. Additionally, she has served on juries for India Skills 2021 and LSSC 2021.
