Profile & Biography
Ms. Vandana is a dynamic and experienced faculty member at the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), where she is severing as faculty. At the core of her education lie subjects such as Graphic Design, Digital Fashion Illustration, Packaging, Branding, Trend Forecasting, Fundamentals of Design, Technical Drawing, and Product Design. With a keen eye for detail and a flair for creativity, she delved deep into Material Study, exploring the intricacies of clay, wood, leather, acrylic, and fabric – mastering the art of manipulating these materials to bring her designs to life.
Before joining FDDI, Ms. Vandana had an illustrator career in the academics, working with Lovely Professional University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Division of Academic Affairs where her role was to develops and evaluates campus and system strategic plans and mission statements, reviews proposals for new academic programs and revisions of existing programs, develops and revises policies on admissions, progression and retention standards. However, Ms. Vandana journey extends far beyond the classroom. With a passion for practical application, she ventured into the professional arena early in her career. One of the notable highlights came in 2018 when she participated in the Vault International Fashion Week, representing the esteemed brand Sweet Weaves.
As Ms. Vandana ascended to the role of a senior designer, her journey took on new dimensions of leadership and mentorship. Drawing upon her wealth of experience and expertise, she assumed a guiding role, nurturing emerging talent and fostering a culture of innovation within her team. Her ability to inspire and empower others propelled her towards new heights of success, cementing her legacy as not just a designer, but a visionary leader shaping the future of the industry.
